<p class="texto">Kruse e Kriks jogavam sinuca juntos e sentiam-se atraídos um pelo outro e, depois de um tempo, perceberam que estavam mais entusiasmados em se ver do que em jogar sinuca. Além do jogo, eles fazem uma apresentação musical todas as sextas.</p>
<p class="texto">“O apaixonar-se foi gradual, mas formamos uma conexão”, disse Kriks em entrevista ao jornal <em>The Washington Post</em>. “Não há razão para sentar-se sozinho em uma sala e ficar isolado. É um mundo de casal lá fora, e é bom ter alguém que é especial só para você”, completa.</p>
<p class="texto">Cerca de um ano após o início do romance, Carl havia pedido Doris em casamento, porém sem sucesso. “Mesmo que ela tenha dito 'não' uma vez, tentei novamente no mês ado”, contou Kruse ao <em>KCTV5</em>.</p>
<p class="texto">Carl é professor de química aposentado e já foi casado uma vez, mas perdeu a sua esposa em decorrência de um câncer de pâncreas em 2010. Doris, uma ex-contadora, também já se casou outras vezes, antes de se mudar para Cedar Lake Village.</p>

Cerca de um ano após o início do romance, Carl havia pedido Doris em casamento, porém sem sucesso. “Mesmo que ela tenha dito 'não' uma vez, tentei novamente no mês ado”, contou Kruse ao KCTV5 .
Carl é professor de química aposentado e já foi casado uma vez, mas perdeu a sua esposa em decorrência de um câncer de pâncreas em 2010. Doris, uma ex-contadora, também já se casou outras vezes, antes de se mudar para Cedar Lake Village.
